Black History Month, or African American History Month starts
February 1. The month of February is a celebration of the achievements

For your project, you will complete a Tri-fold poster board on one
influential African American. You will become an expert on their life,
obstacles, and achievements and teach your peers.

PROJECT DUE DATE: FEBRUARY 20, 2020.
Book:
Each student will check out a book from the library. Each scholar will read
their book and use it to become an expert on their person. Your book is due in class by Wednesday, 2/12/2020.

Tri-fold Poster Board:
Your poster must include:
- A title
- 6 sections
- Early life
- Education and jobs
- Why he/she is famous
- Obstacles he/she overcame
- How he/she has changed society or influenced your life
- If you were this person, what message would you share with
- others?
- Each section should include at least 3 to 4 sentences
- Each section should be labeled
- At least 3 pictures that relate to that person
- No spelling, punctuation, or capitalization errors
- Organized
- Attractive and neat
- It can be typed or handwritten, but it must be neat and legible
- Be sure to include Reference section to cite your resource
